War is not for Children PDF Print E-mail
The documentary War is not for Children is a follow-up on Like Birds in a Cage, in which we meet the refugee boy Dalibor. Two years have passed, the war is over and we meet Dalibor and his sister Daliborka. The now 12-year-old Dalibor and his sister are living at a home for war children in a small town in the ‘idyllic’ mountains of Bosnia where no one welcomes Bosnian/Serb children. The children’s father is still alive, but he lives in the enemy country Serbia. Dalibor does not want to talk about his father, as everyone around him speaks about Serbians as evil. Both children dream of finding their father, of whom they have no more than a faint recollection. But can he be found? Without showing a single act of war, this documentary shows the human cost of war. War is not for Children is part two of the trilogy on Children of war.
