In this poetic documentary a mother pig tells the story of a perfectly ordinary day in her life as an organic, free-range sow. As she gazes across the meadow where her piglets are frolicking she philosophises about the good life of a pig. She is proud of the hams and bacon she can supply, and she is proud that her offspring will end their days as renowned Danish bacon in other countries around the world. She is more aware than anyone that only a good pig life gives good pig meat.
