A documentary describing the period before the birth of a baby in an intimate way. We meet four women each trying to prepare themselves for the moment, and we meet their husbands - the fathers-to-be. At a time when our expectations and demands on life are so high, the fear of not measuring up lurks behind every item of furniture in the room. A pregnancy is a source of profound fear and infinite joy, and in this film every facet of the time as the moment approaches is explored.
